Winnie Sturm is well-known in the South Central area of Kansas for her original hand woven one-of-a-kind Mandala weavings. "Mandala" is an ancient graphic symbol of the universe. The circle is used as a symbol of eternity.

She created a product of her own design that is sculptural in effect and is a symmetry of textures and hues. Through the use of interesting yarns, soft fur, and exotic feathers, the weavings attain a degree of mobility as air currents set them to swaying amid the soft yarns and beads.
