Title 1 Staff

Judy Shore is the Title 1 Reading teacher. She has taught Title I Reading in Central Schools for 25 years. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Secondary Education from Southwestern College in Winfield and a Master's Degree in Reading from Wichita State University. In 1998, Mrs. Shore completed a year of training for Reading Recovery at the Jones Institute at Emporia State University. She is now a certified Reading Recovery instructor. Mrs. Shore has also received training for the Roots program of Success for All. She currently teaches a Roots Reading Group and tutors students who need extra help. Mrs. Shore is also Central's Local Consolidated Plan contact person and oversees the administration of Central's state and federal programs.

Central Elementary is lucky to have para-professionals who meet the federal government's "Highly Qualified" standards.

Aide Betsy Whitehill tutors Title 1 Reading students from First through Sixth grades. She also is the accompanist for Mr. Shubert's Jr. and Sr. High Choirs. 

 

Aide Saundra Williams tutors Title 1 Reading students from First through Sixth grades. She also assists in a classroom during Success For All Reading.
