Mission Statement

Dana’s Dance Center (DDC) is a community-based dance school. Our goal is to offer an excellent dance education while providing motivation, encouragement and progression. We help our students age 2 1/2 through adult build life skills including self-esteem and confidence in a non-judgmental, nurturing environment where everyone is welcome. Our order of priorities is FUN, exercise, education and performance. We know each child is unique, therefore we tailor every class to meet the needs of the group. The teachers and assistants at DDC have great enthusiasm for dance and share this with their students in class. Dana’s Dance Center’s goal is to provide a positive experience for all of our dancers. At DDC every child is special. Whether you are a recreational or serious minded dancer, our mission is to provide the best education available at an affordable cost.

They perform in Recital at the end of the season to show off what they have learned through out the year at class. There are NO Costume Fees for Recreational Classes. A theme/color scheme will be announced in December and you may purchase or use something you already have for your costume. A Christmas Gift Bag will be handed out to all dancers with a CD of their music and accessories for their costumes to use at recital.

DDC's High Performance Dance Companies

Our Dance Companies are offered for both serious and non serious dancers. Students enter this program through audition or upon teacher recommendation and are chosen by skill level, motivations, attendance and dedications at both performance and audition to perform in numerous outlets such as parades, community events, and competition. We understand that although dance is important to our students, school and scholastic efforts take top priority. Classes start in August and continue through Mid July. Dancers audition at the beginning of the season and placement in groups will be made by the Directors. Be aware that the dancer may not be placed in as many numbers as they elect to participate in due to space and resource limits.

All of our competition groups will compete at a local dance competition. The actual events are determined by the director but dancers should expect to experience one competition each season. www.talentonparade.com

We understand that although dance is important to our students, school and scholastic efforts take top priority. The Company requirement extends into the summer for Boot Camp, National Rehearsals, and National’s. Not only do you choose to be on this company but also the directors will decide if you are ready and devoted enough to be on this company.
