Byron Berline grew up on a farm outside of Caldwell, Kan., and first picked up a fiddle at the age of five. Now living in Guthrie, Okla., he’s the curator of the Double Stop Fiddle Shop. His unique and circuitous history includes being a three-time National Fiddle Champion, and he has performed or recorded with many luminaries including Bob Dylan, Vince Gill, and Emmylou Harris.

The gates of the arboretum open at 3 p.m. and the show begins at 4 p.m. Cost is $10 at the gate and children are free “if kept under wing.” Pack a picnic or enjoy Luciano’s Tuscan cuisine or Lyon’s Den BBQ. Please leave the pooch at home; BYOS (sack if you want to take home some freshly-dug tulip bulbs).
