About Junior Brown
Junior Brown truly is an American original. From his signature guit-steel guitar to his original songs, distinctive voice and captivating stage presence, you won’t be mistaking Junior Brown for anyone else you’ve ever seen.
He’s been perfecting his act since he was a young boy in rural Indiana, where country music was, in his own words, “growing up out of the ground like the crops – it was everywhere; coming out of cars, houses, gas stations and stores like the soundtrack of a story.” Junior gravitated to country music, inspired by some of the giants of the genre – many of whom he eventually worked with. But he didn’t immediately break into the big time. “I did so many years of playing in honkytonks, night after night, four sets, fifteen-minute breaks. After that, you’ve gotta get good or you gotta get out.”
Well, he got good. His albums have earned several Grammy nominations, a Country Music Association award, and many other accolades.
