Community Events Not-to-Miss Nashville Singer-Songwriter Darrell Scott at Bartlett Arboretum

- Date: July 21, 2019
- Time: 4:00 pm
- Location: Bartlett Arboretum, Belle Plaine, KS
Darrell Scott, iconic songwriter and performer, makes a rare appearance in the Heartland at Bartlett Arboretum this Sunday, July 21 at 4 p.m. Ask a group of music industry insiders to name their top five favorite singer-songwriters, and almost certainly they’ll name Scott. This consummate musician can not only pen and pick a song – he’s a highly sought-after Nashville session musician.
Scott has composed a stable of hit songs covered by well-known performers, including:
“It’s a Great Day to Be Alive” – Travis Tritt
“You’ll Never Leave Harlan Alive” – Brad Paisley, Patty Loveless, and Kathy Mattea
“Long Time Gone” – Dixie Chicks
“We’ve Got Nothing but Love to Prove” – Faith Hill
“Out in The Parking Lot” – Guy Clark and Brad Paisley with Alan Jackson
“River Take Me” – Sam Bush
Scott’s music shines light on matters of the heart – the grit, grease, gristle, and most importantly, the marrow in the breastbone. The wordsmithing and craftsmanship of Scott’s songs re-invigorate this timeless artform.
Hear this remarkable songwriter perform live under the century-old tree canopy at historic Bartlett Arboretum this Sunday, July 21.
