This three-day event kicks off Saturday morning with a Kids’ Fishing Derby at 8:00 a.m., followed by Mud Volleyball at 10:00 a.m., and winds down with a Family Fun Night (including a free movie, popcorn, and hot dogs) beginning at 7:00 p.m. On Sunday, the Cornhole Tournament starts at Noon. The evening features a Gospel Singspiration at 6:00 p.m. at the Nazarene Church, followed by Homemade Cake & Ice Cream. Next up is a Softball Game at 7:00 p.m. Fireworks are at 8:30 p.m. for the day’s finale. Monday’s full schedule begins at 7:00 a.m. with Biscuits and Gravy at the Severy Community Building. The Labor Day Parade begins at 10:00 a.m., followed by Box Turtle Races, Hay Scramble, and Hay Toss downtown. The Car Show is from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Entertainment by Tate McCoy, a HorseShoe Tournament, and Watermelon Feed all begin at Noon. Afternoon events include the Lawn Tractor Pull and Kids Activities (Foot Races, Games, Inflatables, etc.) at 2:00 p.m., with the Drawing at 3:00 p.m. Food Vendors and Arts and Crafts Booths round out this year’s Severy Labor Day Celebration.
