Using chipped china and old jewelry, design and create a piece of unique and beautiful art – to take home. Most importantly, learn the process and possess the know how to continue on this unique creative path. Everything needed will be supplied; however, feel free to bring along sentimental, vintage and old china of your own collection, day jewels, pieces of broken heirlooms, or family relics to adorn your creation.
Choose from morning or afternoon for the two-day class. The morning classes are 9 to noon and the afternoon classes are 1 to 4. It is essential to come both days. Afternoon students need to come in the afternoon both days as it does take 24 hours for the mastic to dry enough to grout and finish your art.
Day one: design and craft the mosaic pieces. There will be several projects to choose from including frames, crosses, hearts, stars, butterflies, and one- and two-switch faceplates.
Day two: grouting after the mosaic has ample time to dry overnight.
Snacks served.
Fabulous setting.
Passionate teaching.
